The Laredo SILVER ROOM is dedicated to providing essential resources and support to ABUSED, NEGLECTED, AND/OR EXPLOITED ELDERlY AND VULNERABLE ADULTS WITHIN ADULT Protective Services. we also provide advocacy and community outreach through community engagement and special projects. the laredo silver room is a partnership with the Department of Family and Protective Services- ADULT Protective Services.

Core Mission and Goals
The laredo silver room operates on a few key principles to help the eldery and vulnerable adults who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation:
our mission is to provide advocacy, education through community engagement, and resources necessary to prevent re-victimization.
our goal is to ensure that APS clients have the necessary items and resources that are needed to be in a stable and suitable home environment.

Community Engagement
The Laredo Silver Room is 100% community-funded and volunteer-run. It does not receive state funding for its inventory; it relies entirely on donations from local citizens, churches, and businesses in the Laredo area.
